Misha (which translates to bear in Russian) magazine is a wonderful magazine for children that were born in the eighties. It was translated into several languages and loved by children all over the world.

I found this magazine when I went to grand father's house when I was a child, and its interesting memories remained in my heart. A few days ago, I found a few of them by chance, and some of them were also found on the Internet.

The magazine, full of strange pictures and stories in different colours, invited us to a strange world in the same way that popular Soviet children's books. The cartoon You just wait which was popular at that time was also published there. Similarly, Nasruddin's stories were also published in it.

Finding printed copies of the English version is now very difficult.

මීෂා සඟරාව කුඩා ළමයින් වෙනුවෙන් අසූව දශකයේ දී බිහි වූ අපූරු රුසියන් සඟරාවකි. එය ලොව විවිධ භාෂා කිහිපයකට ම පරිවර්තනය වූ අතර ලොව පුරා දරුවන් ආදරයෙන් වැළඳගත් සඟරාවකි.

මා කුඩා කල සීයලාගේ ගෙදර ගිය විට මට මෙම සඟරාව එහි තිබී හමු වූ අතර එහි රසවත් මතකයන් මෑතක් වන තුරුම හදවතේ තැන්පත් ව තිබිණි. පසුගිය දිනෙක අහම්බෙන් මෙන් ඉන් සගරා කිහිපයක් හමු වූ අතර අන්තර්ජාලයෙන් ද ඉන් කිහිපයක් සොයා ගත හැකි විය.

විවිධ වර්ණයෙන් යුතු අමුතුම චිත්‍රවලින් සහ කතන්දරවලින් පිරි එම සඟරාව අප අමුතු ලොවකට කැඳවාගෙන ගියේ එකල ජනප්‍රිය වූ සෝවියට් ළමා පොත්වලින් අප රස ලොවකට කැඳවාගෙන ගිය ආකාරයෙන් ම ය. එකල ජනප්‍රිය වූ නරියා සහ හාවාගේ කාටුනය ( You just wait.) ද එහි පළ විය. එසේ ම නස්රුදින්ගේ කතා ද එහි පළ විය.

මෙම පැරණි ඉංග්‍රීසි සඟරාවේ මුද්‍රිත පිටපත් සොයා ගැනීම දැන් නම් ඉතා අසීරු වැඩකි.

මා විසින් ස්කෑන් කරන ලද පිටපතක් සහ අන්තර්ජාලයේ තිබී හමු වූ කලාප කිහිපයක් රස විඳිමු.

Grade 3 Sinhala Reading Book (old)

When I posted a few pages of the grade 3 Sinhala reading book that we learnt in school, many friends asked me if I could provide a PDF copy of it. Unfortunately, some pages of that book were missing and my friend Mr Anjana Bulathsinghala had photographed them on his mobile phone and sent them to me. After a hard effort, I present it to you.

Mr Anjana's book and mine are two different editions, so there were some inconsistencies. However, the lessons that were there will never be far from our memory. In Anuradhapura, Kurutu Puwak, Journey to the Moon, Sinbad, and Story of the new bridge are extraordinary among them.

According to the story of the new bridge, it is still remembered how there was a frenzy to build bridges in childhood. That story was taken from a Chinese storybook. That book was given to me by Mr Chiran Windsor recently and I have scanned it. But I found a copy through the internet that is better than my Scan copy.

පැරණී සිංහල කියවීම් පොත් - 3 ශ්‍රේණිය

අප පාසල් ගිය කාලයේ 3 ශ්‍රේණියේ සිංහල කියවීම් පොතේ පිටු කිහිපයක් පසුගිය දා මුහුණු පොතේ පළ කළ විට එහි පීඩීඑෆ් පිටපතක් ලබා දිය හැකි දැයි බොහෝ දෙනෙකු මගෙන් විමසා තිබිණි. අවාසනාවකට මා සතු එම පොතේ පිටු කිහිපයක් අඩු වූ අතර ඒවා මා මිත්‍ර අංජන බුලත්සිංහල මහතා විසින් ජංගම දුරකතනයෙන් ඡායාරූපගත කර මා වෙත එවා තිබිණි. ඒ අනුව දිගු වෙහෙසකින් පසු එහි පළ වූ පැවරුම් අතහැර පාඩම් පමණක් ස්කෑන් කර පිටු නැවත සකසා මෙසේ ඔබ වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරමි.

අංජන මහතා සතු පොතත් මගේ පොතත් වෙනස් මුද්‍රණ දෙකක් බැවින් යම් යම් නොගැළපීම් ද තිබිණි. කෙසේ වුව ද එහි තිබූ පාඩම් මාලා කිසිදා අපේ මතකයෙන් ඈත්ව නොයේ. අනුරාධපුරයේ දී, කුරුටු පුවක්, සඳ ගමන, සින්බෑඩ්., අලුත් පාලමේ කතාව ආදිය ඒ අතර විශේෂ වෙයි.

සිංහල 3 ශ්‍රේණි පොත

අලුත් පාලමේ කතාව අනුව පුංචි සන්ධියේ පාලම් හදන්නට පිස්සුවක් තිබූ අයුරු තවමත් මතකයේ ඇත. එම කතාව උපුටා ගෙන තිබුණේ චීන කතන්දර පොතකිනි. එම පොත හිත මිත්‍ර චිරාන් වින්ඩ්සර් මහතා විසින් පසුගිය දා මා හට ලබා දුන් අතර මම එය සම්පූර්ණයෙන් ම ස්කෑන් කළෙමි. එහෙත් මගේ ස්කෑන් පිටපතට වඩා උසස් පිටපතක් අන්තර්ජාලයේ තිබී මට හමු විය.

ඔබගේ රසවින්දනය උදෙසා එම කෘතිය ද මෙහි ඉදිරිපත් කරමි. එමෙන් ම ඔබ කුඩා කල කියවා රස විඳි එවැනි චීන සහ රුසියන් කතන්දර කිහිපයක් ම ඉදිරියේ දී ඔබ වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නට අදහස් කරගෙන සිටිමි.
